This role is required to support the company from both an Asset Management and Business
Development/ Mergers and Acquisition perspective. The primary focus areas for this role are to review and
challenge operator proposed front end development plans ensuring that the appropriate development concepts
are selected and progressed through to project sanction. Support is additionally required within the Business
Development/ Mergers and Acquisition teams to perform technical due diligence on upstream international
growth opportunities. Key accountabilities for this role are:
- Technical Oversight:
- Monitor and review the operator’s front-end plans, schedules and development options.
- Provide technical input and recommendations to ensure the appropriate development concepts are
considered and progressed through the project lifecycle. - Project Management:
- Assist the operator in the planning and selection of the appropriate development concept into FEED
and final investment decision tracking project progress and ensuring milestones are met. - Critically review the operator provided costs and schedule and create an independent view where
appropriate. - Review and approve budgets and expenditures related to development projects.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess technical risks associated with JV projects.
- Provide feedback, recommendations and support the operator to develop and implement risk
mitigation strategies. - Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain regular communication with the operator and other JV partners and facilitate technical
discussions and meetings where required. - Prepare and present technical reports and updates to stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that engineering practices meet industry standards and regulatory requirements and comply
with health, safety, and environmental regulations. - Innovation and Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements promoting the adoption of new
technologies and best practices.
