Sustainability Advisor

The Sustainability Advisor is responsible for providing advice on and supporting delivery of the Authority’s sustainability strategy across social, environmental and governance factors.   The Sustainability Advisor will take a collaborative and cohesive approach to building momentum about the sustainability strategy across the Authority, determining where networks and collaborations can be leveraged to influence decision making and everyday practice. This role supports the Head of Sustainability in thought leadership and technical advice on the design and delivery of the Authority’s sustainability plans and roadmaps.  The Sustainability Advisor also leads delivery of projects and processes in support of the sustainability ambition. The role holder role models manaakitanga and kaitiakitanga – care for people and for place – promoting the role that the Authority plays as a guardian of the safety and security of customers and staff, and the ongoing responsibility of stewardship for impact of the Authority on the environment. This role works closely with relevant functional leaders, providing high quality advice, reporting and analysis to influence decision making that embeds the Authority’s ambition for sustainability.
